By the age of 7, I would cut my doll's hair and use it to braid into my grandmother and cousin's hair back in Jamaica, where I was born and raised.

 

I would always get excited when someone would say to me "come and comb my hair", that spark of light was within me from that time.

 

My grandmother would always say "you going to turn into a big hairdresser" in her deep Jamaican accent, RIP grandma.

 

Growing up as a child wasn't easy; my life was very challenging and I would use hair to escape from my problems. Hair always puts me in a happy place and this is one of the reasons I developed my love and passion for creating and reimagining hair designs.

 

An early creation for me were hair extensions.  I would create styles that would allow me to add more hair to the natural hair to make it more beautiful. I learned to create something beautiful with the natural hair while making it more playful and manageable. 

 

At the present time my most popular service is the making of wigs (click here to see my work), weaving and hair coloring.  I am also well known for my cuts - my clients are aware that my goal is always to create a the perfect style for each individual by choosing the right texture, style and color for them. 

 

I am mostly known for making wigs, weaving and the icing on the cake is the color and custom cut which gives my client that unmistakable edge and brings out the beauty of my work.

I love doing hair. I don't see my job as work, it's a passion that I enjoy doing everyday! I feel like I am in my happy zone when I am styling and creating hairstyles. I love the feeling I get when watching my clients feel more beautiful with different styles and hair color.
